About me

Hi, I'm Anish.

Computer Engineering student at Georgia Tech, focused on robotics and embedded systems.

Most of what I know about building hardware I learned in four years on FIRST Robotics Team 1771, where I went from CAD support to leading the design and build of our 2026 robot, Blitz: every mechanical subsystem, the complete electrical architecture and CAN network, and most of its parts, made in-house.

Along the way I built the team's strategy department from scratch, taught 100+ students robotics, coding and chess at Chesstronics, and built a machine-learning tool to fix my own bowling action after an injury. At Georgia Tech I'm on the Theme Park Engineering Design club's ride engineering competition team and the Propulsive Landers avionics team.

Experience

Where I've worked and built

Georgia Tech Theme Park Engineering Design

Aug 2026 – present

REC competition team member · FWC challenge team lead

A student engineering club that designs and builds themed entertainment: rides, show systems and the experiences around them.

Ride Engineering Competition, 2027 team (in progress)

The competition is underway and our team is still in the ideation phase. I'm contributing to three areas:

  • Control systems. Working out the ride's control systems and block zones: the logic that decides where a train is allowed to be, and what has to be true before it moves.
  • Mechanical design. Developing concepts for the carts, trains and track, which we plan to design in SolidWorks and manufacture in-house.
  • Business and budgeting. Estimating costs and pursuing sponsorships for the build.

Freshman Welcome Challenge

Led a four-person team to develop and pitch a concept design for The Witch Next Door, a Halloween-themed family thrill coaster: track layout, SolidWorks design of the station and ride vehicle, the ride's storyline, physical schematics, safety guidelines and a business proposal.

Casino escape room (Spring 2027, in ideation)

Brainstorming a new escape room from scratch: the puzzles, how they could be built with Arduino, 3D-printed components and practical effects, and the theming of the whole experience.

Georgia Tech Propulsive Landers

Aug 2026 – present

Avionics team member

Student project team designing, building and testing propulsive landers. I'm learning onboard navigation boards and data acquisition as a first-year member of the avionics team.

FIRST Robotics Competition, Team 1771

Aug 2022 – May 2026

Lead designer and lead engineer (2026) · strategy lead · team and alliance captain · co-driver

  • Led design and build of the 2026 robot from mechanism to electrical system, and independently CAD'd a second robot's mechanical and electrical design, nicknamed Onslaught.
  • Built the strategy department from scratch: a dozen-plus JotForm collection tools and a Google Sheets analytics backend processing 100,000+ data points a year into live match predictions and alliance selection tools.
  • Trained 80+ scouts to run the system live at events; co-drove Blitz in competition while continuing to lead strategy.
  • 2025 World Championship Curie Division champion, 4th overall; 2024 #1-ranked autonomous robot in the world; three consecutive state championships, 2024–2026.

Chesstronics

Oct 2024 – Jan 2026

Robotics, coding and chess instructor (Johns Creek, Georgia)

  • First hire at the location. Designed and taught an integrated curriculum spanning VEX Robotics, coding (Python, Java, Scratch) and chess for ages 4–16, directly resulting in 100+ students enrolling.
  • Planned and ran a multi-week summer camp solo (curriculum, logistics and engagement), launching the center's robotics section into a full-time course.
